I’m Ben Noordermeer. In 1993 is started with growing organic in Rockanje. Since 2017 I have a glasshouse of 3 hectares in Brielle, an old historic village on the islands of Zeeland. My family, the glasshouse and the beach are real close to each other and that makes that I work and live there with pleasure.

Growing organic has been appealing to me for a long time, the use of chemicals was increasingly irritating me. For a while I investigated if growing organic would be something for me and what challenges this would bring. With my small glasshouse it seems to be possible and I took the risk. In 2007 I converted to organic.

With a lot of passion I now grow aubergines, peppers and cucumbers.

The fun part of growing organic is that you have to look further than just growing a product. It involves a lot and I’m still learning new things every day.

My experience with ZANN is really good. BIO-Center ZANN takes my entire production and takes care of making my invoices. They always pay very quick.

ZANN is a company that always looks for solutions and thinks along with me. My kids are playing football on a high level, ZANN thinks it’s fun to think along with this as well. That says enough about the personal contact we are having.
